Kristen received her Juris Doctor from American University – Washington College of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bryant University. Prior to attending law school, Kristen was a financial analyst at a Big Four accounting firm where she conducted operations statement reporting and analysis. Kristen has broad transactional experience, including representation of borrowers, developers and lenders in the acquisition, financing, and development of real estate assets; however, she primarily focuses her practice on representing landlords and developers of strip centers and mixed use developments in drafting and negotiating retail, office and industrial leases of various types and complexities.  Kristen was listed as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2019 and was previously listed as a National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 attorney. She currently sits on the board of directors for STEAMd Inc., a non-profit organization with a mission of inspiring girls to embrace careers in STEAM (science, technology, arts and math) fields. Kristen is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, ICSC, and Women in Retail Real Estate (WIRRE). Kristen, her husband and two boys currently live in Beltsville, Maryland.
